tesa® 4990

tesa® 4990 is a single-sided industrial splicing tape that uses a bonded acrylic adhesive and a black PET fabric backing. Single-sided PET fabric tape is specially designed for splicing metal fabrics that withstand high temperatures as well as processes with high fabric tension. Acrylic adhesive combines fast performance combined with excellent resistance to high temperatures. tesa® 4990 exhibits excellent tensile strength for high process stress as well. tesa® 4990 offers in-line curing of the adhesive to compensate for the general effect of the adhesive at high temperature. This results in a consistent adhesive strength over a wide temperature range.
